Justin Grinnell

Justin began his real estate career in 2006 in the commercial real estate development business working for his father's development company, Merchant's Holding Company, LLC. He was primarily responsible for leasing and sales, but was also responsible for some property management, construction coordination, new site identification, and more. He obtained his real estate salesperson’s license in 2009 in Texas, and then gained a reciprocal license in Georgia in 2010 when he and his wife relocated there.

He was initially licensed with Jackson Realty in LaFayette, GA where he co-listed property with one of the area’s top foreclosure sales agents. This was a great introduction to residential real estate transactions because there was a high volume of foreclosure inventory after the recession of 2008. He then went back to the commercial development world and worked for two other development companies, the Hutton Company in Chattanooga, TN, and Blackwater Resources in Birmingham, AL. Both companies were retail development companies, like his father’s company, that built and sold regional shopping centers in various markets throughout the country.

He decided he wanted to obtain his broker’s license and open his own firm, and in 2020, he opened Grinnell Realty in LaFayette, GA. In 2021, he obtained a non-resident broker license in TN because of the company’s proximity to the Chattanooga, TN market. Justin’s primary focus is growing the company across all property types within the Northwest Georgia and Chattanooga service area.
